Greensboro North Carolina Police Officers have filed complaints of discrimination.  After making complaints of serious criminal misconduct of supervisors, some of those complaining were then terminated for non-criminal, apparently trivial, administrative charges.  The Justice For All Show will make additional efforts to obtain information about some essential rules and policies of the Greensboro North Carolina Police Department. Presently the actions of the Greensboro Police Department appear to be consistent with police departments’ that are plagued with systemic corruption.

We will dedicate this abbreviated segment to the dedicated, conscientious police officers, firefighters, and emergency medical technicians.  Their efforts should be applauded and they need to be protected from corrupt public safety officials.

Five Hoboken New Jersey police officers had filed a lawsuit in Federal Court alleging racial harassment and a hostile work environment.  The five Hispanic officers allege the SWAT team commander used the “n-word” and put a napkin over his face to imitate a Ku Klux Klan member.  According to published reports, this particular commander was also the subject of other allegations of misconduct.

The five (plaintiffs) officers are Sergeant Edwin Pantoja, Detective Cesar Olivaria, Detective James Perez, Detective George Fonseca and Detective Mario Novo.  On Thursday August 25, 2011, are invited guest will be Detective Mario Novo and the other Hoboken Police Officers involved in this lawsuit.

In the aftermath of the publicized conviction for official misconduct of two New York City police officers, can we anticipate the conviction of high-ranking police officials for official misconduct?

The two New York City police officers, Franklin Mata and Kenneth Moreno, were acquitted of rape charges but convicted of official misconduct and sentenced to serve time in jail.  However, it is extremely rare for high-ranking police officials to be simply charged with official misconduct.  In this abbreviated segment of the Justice For All Show, we will discuss why high-ranking police officials are rarely prosecuted and convicted of official misconduct.

Newark’s Police Department is plagued with complaints of misconduct and brutality, and presently under investigation by the Justice Department, is poised to have new leadership.  Can this new leadership stop the raising tide of violent crime, and the apparent inability of Newark’s Internal Affairs Division to arrest systemic corruption?  Will Newark citizens continue to pay the salaries of high-ranking officials who seem unable or unwilling to detect differential treatment, or protect officers when they report corruption?
