  • The Trust Dance
This is an Adinkra Symbol: Kramo Bone. It acts as a warning against deception and hypocrisy, which undermine trust.
We cultivate trust in ourselves — in our bodies and minds, our loved ones, communities and in God. Sometimes trust is broken. Indeed, we cannot trust anyone we have not given authority to hurt us. So trust has to be worked worked out.  “This is the dance. This is the trust dance,” says Bing in response to Billy making this point. These are just a few nuggets the brothas drop in the anticipated, come back episode. Join us for the ride.
Also, please consider joining us for a dope event! Save the date (8/13/22, ‘evening-ish’, Rancho Cucamonga) for our coming live podcast party — The Jazz of Radical Acceptance. More details to come.

Inspired by the HBO documentary, "Black Art: In the Absence of Light", brotha Bing challenged us to keep the conversation going by tapping our network to explore the rich beauty and meaning of Black art. This led to the creation of a two part series: Out of the Darkness | Our Black Art.
This second episode features a passionate, powerful, Los Angeles based artist — Hasef.
Hasef’s work introduces viewers to a world of conceptual art often avoided by society.  He earned his B.A. in Sociology & Art California State University, Bakersfield, completed his certification in Art & Marketing from Sotheby’s in London, and continued his studies at Claremont Graduate University where he received his MFA in Studio Art.

  • What's All This Noise | Tales and Insights from the adventures of Black Fatherhood.
Black-dad stereotypes abound. Society bombards us with images that devalue the priceless contributions of so many thoroughly present, beautiful, Black fathers. Yet these labels don’t define us. We define us!
Bing and Billy dive deep on this episode, discussing a range of topics from being intentional in cultivating an authentically Black, cultural experience for our children, to knowing when to let go. They also swap often funny, powerful stories from the adventures of Black fatherhood.

  • Gifted Black Men
We back (in BLACK) with another season of Kaleidoscope! Can you believe it? It’s 2021, and this is Season 3! Bing and Billy open this episode with in-depth discussion on Black men, and explore the range of Black masculine identity (and expression) through the lens of their relationships with their own fathers.
Then, and this is so dope, they pivot to a prerecorded conversation Bing facilitated with a special sister — Jamie Milner, a dynamic, powerful photographer, whose work documenting Black men over the last 10 years has blossomed into a magical, multimedia compilation called, Gifted Project. Please check her out at http://www.jaimiemilner.com/giftedproject
We know the broad spectrum of gifted, Black manhood can’t be covered in an hour. However, we hope this unique, creative contribution adds color and texture to the conversation.
