Politics is about power. Power is about security, wealth and wellbeing. And yet, many of us feel so discouraged, we disengage. We say, politics isn’t for me, and end up in a situation where others are making important decisions about our lives without our input.

At Kaleidoscope Podcast we wanted to push back against this tide of discouragement and apathy. So we invited Shannon Lawrence of ‘I Can Lead’ back for a creative, hopefully practical, conversation about politics, this political season, and more specifically, ballot initiatives.

The Pew Research Center says a millennial is a person born between 1981 in 1996. But that’s a demographic. Older generations say millennials have unrealistic expectations and a sense of entitlement. But those are old, worn-out tropes.
