Jane Dowling, the Principal of St Patricks Special school in Kilkenny and Anne Manning who is teaching at the school chat to Brian about the recent Leaving Certificate results. This is the 1st year that their students are getting their results in the applied leaving cert.

Emily Felix - aged 28 is a trainee solicitor from Gowran, Co Kilkenny who has Friedreich’s Ataxia (a rare neurological degenerative disease). She argues that a drug called Skyclarys (omaveloxolone) would slow the progression of the condition. She says she is losing mobility and neurological function "every month" and "every year". She is a full-time wheelchair user. There will be a demonstration this Sunday 23rd August at 12pm in Dublin starting in the garden of remembrance at the top of O’Connell Street making their way down to Customs Quay. 

John Rafter – owner of JR Auto Solutions, a Kilkenny based safety & communication company chats to Brian about aiming for ZERO auto accidents & "peace of mind every day" to vehicle drivers Internationally. He wants to comment on the dangers o the road in light of the car crash at the weekend.

Dermot Keyes from KCLR News spoke with Supt Sean O'Meara following the Local Community Safety Partnership meeting at County Hall. He put two questions to him, the first relating to the increase in assaults of a minor nature and public order offences on a year-on-year basis during Q2 2026 and to ensure that reckless driving was tackled as effectively as possible. Cllr Damien Donoghue chats to Brian about the water outages in Ferrybank recently. He has raised the issue of low water pressure and calling on a water booster system. Since then Usice Eireann has gone around Ferrybank and detected a lot of leaks which is great but a lot of them has resulted in burst water mains causing major disruptions. T
