Rizé ST is a brand that should be recognized for its progressiveness, the quality of its products, and the quality of people that support it. As a black woman in America, we experience a unique type of discrimination. We have two oppressed Identities as being black, and being a woman. We deal with misogyny and racism in a way that no otter group in this country would understand. Danyelle Duckett is an openly queer black woman, who is very proud and comfortable in her identity (as she should be). Mental health in the black community is a topic that needs to be at the forefront of our society. Black people have historically faced poorer conditions in this country and around the world due to white supremacy and imperialism. As they say, you’re a product of your environment, and your environment will have a tremendous impact on your mental health. Shelby Hicks and Katelyn Simmons are the founders of Inclusivity, a nonprofit organization that focuses on creating safe spaces to talk about mental health. Jerrick McLeod is the founder of Black Intellect Clothing and a Clinical Mental Health Graduate Student at Fort Valley State University.
