  • Episode 19: Jason Stephenson, Meditation Coach

Funny that our final episode of 2019 is episode number 19!

I present to you a very special guest I had the great honor to speak with. I have long recommended Jason's guided meditations to all of my clients, patients, group participants, and my mom. Why? Because his guided meditations are amazing. If you have trouble falling or staying asleep at night, please go to youtube and start listening to Jason!

Jason Stephenson is a meditation coach and chief executive of the popular meditation hub Relax Me Online Australia. His YouTube meditation channel has more than 1.5 million subscribers and features a shout-out from activist Russell Brand. Like I said, he's amazing.

Join us as Jason shares his journey into the world of meditation, and making a choice to leave a path that was not fulfilling.  He is candid about his own history with drugs and alcohol, and the turning point where he chose a new way. We discuss why sleep and anxiety are such overwhelming problems in the world today, and the role guided meditation can play in offering relief.

This very special episode also marks the VERY FIRST VIDEO EPISODE of Beyond the Pink Cloud!!!! Why wait for the New Year to try something new?

  • Episode 18: Emmy Brunner of the Recover Clinic

Emmy Brunner is a rock star in her own right.

As a psychotherapist specializing in trauma and eating disorders, she had a vision of a treatment center where the whole person, not the diagnosis, guided the treatment. She has seen that vision come to life and thrive with the Recover Clinic, Europe’s leading specialist outpatient service, treating sufferers of trauma, depression, body dysmorphia, anxiety and eating disorders.

She founded the Recover Clinic in 2007 and has since built a community and helped thousands of women in creating a new path forward from trauma and eating disorders.

She had a vision of treating the whole person, and empowering her patients and clients to take part in their own healing journey. She has brought that very real vision to fruition.

I love speaking with powerful women who saw a need for a change in their field and went out and created what was needed. Emmy is incredibly inspiring and kind, and her passion and expertise with her work had me wishing we had another hour to chat.

If you are looking for support in making new changes this time of year, and possibly feeling overwhelmed--> you will LOVE this episode. Emmy focuses on the importance of small, daily changes that lead up to a different kind of life with practice and perseverance.

    • Episode 12: Stephan Kerby, author of “You are the change. A beginners guide to socially responsible investing.”

It doesn't matter if you aren't sure where to start with investing or if you have an established portfolio--this is the episode for you!

Most importantly, if you are passionate about making change in the world--Stephan is the guy to walk you through it.

It was a pleasure to sit down with my big brother and learn more about what socially responsible investing actually is and why it is the standard in Canada and most European countries. He makes it clear that aligning yourself with companies who share your values is as profitable in investing with those who don't.

Stephan shares his story of transitioning to a plant based diet when his 2 year old daughter was born as a means to create better health and more energy. This dietary change led him down a path of education and realization of where he wanted to create change in the world.

This path has led him to write his recent book, "You are the change. A beginners guide to socially responsible investing.”

This book is a guide to socially responsible investing and shareholder advocacy that both educates and motivates the reader. Stephan is giving this book away until 1,000 copies have been given away with the intent of spreading the message and recruiting more socially conscious people to take a stand and use their investments to make a change.

I left this interview feeling empowered in both my ability to invest and to invest in companies that reflect my values. I felt empowered that I could  actually make a change on a broader scale using the strategies Stephan shared.

I hope you feel this way to!
