In this episode I speak with Bhai Tarsem Singh, author of 'Why Am I Here', a new publication from the Share Charity. The book is about the universal teachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji, and outlines the Sikh perspective to a whole host of different philosophical questions about identity and our purpose in life.
Bhai Tarsem Singh provides great insight into key teachings and concepts within the Sikh faith. We consider the uniqueness of Sikhi, the illusion of Maya, the importance of Naam and the role of the Khalsa.

With this podcast we aim to provide a platform for aspiring writers, poets and artists who are passionate about preserving and furthering Sikh and Panjabi identity.
Khalis - خالص , is a versatile word. As well as meaning "pure" in Arabic and Sanskrit, the term, in a Persian context, means "free" or "independent". This idea of independence forms an integral part of our vision, and with this podcast we aim to supplement our publication work with meaningful discussion on history, ideology, philosophy, culture and the identity that shapes who were are today, as Sikhs in the 21st century.
