Gacy was a successful Chicago contractor, Democratic precinct captain, and community pillar who dressed as Pogo the Clown for children's parties. He was also one of America's most prolific serial killers. Between 1972-1978, he murdered at least 33 teenage boys and young men, burying 29 in the crawl space under his suburban home. December 1978: 15-year-old Robert Piest disappeared after meeting Gacy about a job. That investigation finally exposed the horror beneath Gacy's house.
