CRT 2021 Course Chairman Ron Waksman, MD, kicks off a new series of video discussions with Spencer B. King III, MD, professor emeritus at Emory University, called “The King and I.” Dr. King is the Editor-at-Large of Cardiovascular Revascularization Medicine, the official peer-reviewed journal of CRT Meeting, and he is an interventional cardiology pioneer. He writes a monthly column, “The Last Word with Spencer King,” for the journal. The first episode of “The King and I” was recorded July 1, which is the first day of the new academic year, so Drs. King and Waksman discuss the state of interventional cardiology fellowships today, including effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
