Hello and welcome to episode 135 of the Kit & Krysta Podcast! With The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom on the horizon, we wanted to talk about the big elephant in the room for Zelda games - the story. We're debating if story is actually important and needed in Zelda games. With the timeline a work in progress (putting it nicely!) and Nintendo refusing to officially acknowledge or put any importance on the story, should fans care? Let's discuss. Also in this episode, we talk about our impressions playing Astro Bot which has taken the world by storm! We discuss how Nintendo might be feeling with PlayStation making a game that feels like a Nintendo game. Does Nintendo care? Are they panicking about Sony copying them? We also react to the latest round of Switch 2 rumors. Do we think there's any truth to the system potentially getting revealed soon or are we getting a bit tired of all this? All this and more is coming right up.

Hello and welcome to episode 133 of the Kit & Krysta Podcast! This week we have a whole heap of Nintendo news that we're going to be digging into. We were a bit surprised that there was a double whammy Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase AND an Indie World Showcase that dropped this week. This is a bit unlike Nintendo's usual schedule of having these in mid-late September so what could this mean? Also, there was a Nintendo Direct last week showing us this Nintendo Museum and while we're excited to finally see it, we do have some thoughts and feelings about if this museum lived up to our expectations. We've also been jamming through a ton of games and getting ready for our next spoilercast on Emio: The Smiling Man Famicom Detective Club. We got a big episode coming up!

0:00 - What's next for Nintendo?
15:47 - NEWS NEWS NEWS (Nintendo Direct discussion, Switch 2 Announcement plans, First Party games in 2025, Nintendo Museum thoughts)

Hi and welcome to episode 132 of the Kit & Krysta Podcast! We've got a lot of goodness jammed into this episode. Let's start with talking about a Nintendo legend who just retired. Don James has worked at Nintendo for over 40 years and had a huge impact on the company but many might not know too much about him so let us tell you! We also react to the latest round of Switch 2 news with developers saying they don't expect the system to launch any earlier than April 2025. In our Never a Minute segment, we test our spelling skills with an exciting Pokemon spelling bee. Spoiler, we did not do well. We're playing a ton of new games with a few hidden gems that we can't wait to tell you about and we wrap it all up with questions from our wonderful Patreon subscribers.

A lot of things had to go just right for Switch to be a hit and the pressure was definitely on at Nintendo to make sure it went well. Nintendo Switch will always hold a very special place in our hearts because it was the last system we launched at Nintendo so it feels great to reflect back on what happened over these past 7 years. Also in this episode, we react to the reveal of Emio and talk about what the new Joy-Con charging accessory really means. We wrap it all up with questions from our amazing Patreon family.
