In November of 1977, moviegoers were presented with the fictional experience of a town dealing with the unexplainable UFO phenomenon in Steven Spielberg’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind. One of the classic scenes is the town’s police force chasing brilliantly lit UFOs over the interstates and backroads of the beset upon town. 11 years later would see this scenario seemingly reversed when an Australian family of 4 were reportedly pursued at speeds of up to 125 mph along a stretch of desert road by an unknown object.
