New Week, New Kulcha!!!

This weeks instalment of The Kulcha sees us welcome friends of the podcast - Chloza and Mr Linden to our studio for a recording. 

The conversation is lit like a blunt right from the onset as our guests tell us a bit about crossing the seas and the boerewors curtain to be with us. It doesn't take long until the THC begins its work on us and the question - what would you rather be a Hyena or a  Vulture is posed...some of the answers will scare and amuse you!!!

New Week...New Kulcha!

With the Cannabis Expo currently taking place at Sandton Convention Centre, we felt it right and fitting to continue with the theme of Cannapreneurship, as ears, eyes and minds are gathered at the expo to explore and exploit opportunities in the cannabis space.

Joining us on this episode is repeat offender - ShanTheCannaMan, his partner King Kush from Hi - Grow Cafe as well as the director of NVJ products Mr. Nick Verster. 

Mr. Verster kicks of the show for us by sparking the ceremonial blunt and the conversation ensues. The entrepreneurs share their histories and inspirations for getting into the cannabis game and in typical Kulcha fashion, a lot of game is exchanged and allegations made.

Nick Verster takes the chance to share his opinion on the current status of the industry and direction its going vs the direction it should be going in. As a regular speaker at the Cannabis Expo, Mr Verseter is more than equipped to share his insights on how and where the industry can improve. 

In what may come across as a controversial episode to some, this episode goes delves a little deeper into cannabis laws, regulation, business and recreation as our guests make no apologies for their views and opinions shared.

In this weeks edition of The Kulcha, we sit down with Pretoria’s prince of dank - Shannon Dalton aka ShanTheCannaMan! With such an appropriate nickname, Shan takes us through his journey from rose bankies to being the owner of the fastest growing cannabis clu and grow shop brand in Pretoria - Hi Grow.

In typical Kulcha fashion, the conversation spills over into social issues as we discuss Nandos clipping Gareth Cliffs wings (see what we did there).

Shannon’s dank takes us through a variety of topics as we eventually arrive at a point in the conversation where Stan raps a verse from his high school days.

New week, new Kulcha!

This episode was recorded on the 18th of September, which is a big day for South African cannabis culture as it was 3 years ago on that day that led the motion rolling on decriminalizing cannabis for private use. 

Uno, Stan and Cath celebrated the day with Nosi and Bangani (East Lynne Pizza Grille), the Zol Master (Ntsu Organic) as well as non-stoners, Baksteezy and Zizipho.

The conversation was robust and engaging with plenty of laughs as we went from discussing what defines a community to taking a crack at our own cultures in the name of Heritage Month to Crying Spaces on Twitter to some tips on how to deal with law enforcement with regards to your personal possession of cannabis.

On this week of the The Kulcha, we are joined by Tebogo and Anthony from Cannabis Trade Association Africa. What started off as a light hearted conversation on their entries into the cannabis journey turned into an impassioned call-out of challenges and injustices that are being carried out by different stakeholders in the South African cannabis industry.
