The province of Alberta in Canada is known mostly for being oil country with farms sprinkled in-between. When I was growing up, I loved to travel off the farm to spend time with my cousins in the city of Edmonton. I would stay at my aunt and uncle’s home, and my cousins and I would roam wherever we wanted to. There was no reason for my aunt and uncle to worry, because after all…Edmonton was a safe place. But the thing is my spooky friends…it wasn’t.
On August 18, 2010; a young mother went missing and her remains were discovered a little over two years later by horseback riders. This was only the start of a living hell for the Tuccaro family.
So turn up the volume my spooky friends…today you will hear the tale of Amber Alyssa Tuccaro, but before we get started I want to give you all a heads up. Today we will be talking about a disturbing murder, institutional racism, and missing and murdered Indigenous women. Listener discretion is advised.
