The Last Cash

What a show we've got for you this week! We hung out with our pal Chris Harris, PDGA# 136929. Chris is a member of the Nashville disc golf community and a longtime listener of the podcast, who also happens to play guitar for Grammy-nominated Ashley McBryde. He also wrote the title track to her new album, Never Will, and has a solo album in the works. He brought along his guitar and graced us with the first ever musical performance on the show, and we hope you guys enjoy this one as much as we did!

It was a real pleasure to sit down with our friend, and institution in the Nashville disc golf community, Steve Kerns. A fixture at Seven Oaks, Steve was here for the early days of organized disc golf in the area and the development of our favorite courses. He's led projects at the annual Seven Oaks Work Party for years, and if you've played the courses in Nashville, chances are you've sat on a bench, crossed a bridge, or placed your bag on a table that he built. He's a first-hand witness to the growth & evolution of the sport; he's also an outspoken opponent of the PDGA and has never been a member. He also grew up in Hollywood and has appeared in a bunch of movies and TV shows, including the original Karate Kid.  We hope you enjoy this one as much as we did!

We got to hang out with two of our favorites, Jamie and Ruthie Miller! Ruthie (Rewthie Tewthie on Facebook) is the 2021 Music City Disc Golf Membership Officer, she's sponsored by Flyin' Colors, Throw Pink, and Wicked Aces, and we talked about some of the awesome stuff she has planned for this year, including a clinic at Two Rivers on January 16th, and the Tennessee Women's Disc Golf Championships she is hosting with Flyin' Colors in Woodbury on March 16th! Enjoy the show!

From the new MCDG calendar, to his work with the PDGA Medical Committee, the Music City Open, goals/resolutions, and everything in between! Like/share/subscribe/rate/review, and enjoy the show!

Our guest for Episode 19 had something come up, so we took the opportunity to cover some local updates, field some pretty hysterical topics you guys provided on the Facebook group, and went down a few pretty gnarly rabbit-holes. We had a lot of fun, and we hope you enjoy the show!

Our longtime friend Justin Martineau is not only one of the driving forces behind the Nashville Disc Golf Store and a prolific tournament director, but he's also been playing for over 20 years. He's also an experienced home brewer and the former president of the local brewing club, Music City Brewers, a whiffle-ball enthusiast, and a musician. We had a blast hanging out and talking about all his many interests, and we hope you enjoy the show!
