This is a hard one. No cap. There is no easy way to say it but after over 4 years of podcasting every week - we have decided to take a break from The Laughing Couple Podcast.
This has been the most incredible journey for us. TLC started as something we created to bring us joy during the rough days of the pandemic, and it turned into a platform that has created space for important conversations, and more importantly a place for us all to laugh and celebrate the shitstorm that is life. We honestly Cannot thank you enough for your support, love and engagement over the years. You are the reason we've alway kept on going. Your amazing comments and reviews allowed us to understand the impact TLC has. Truly unmatch.
Thank you once again for your incredible support and for being part of this journey with us. We’ve loved every moment and look forward to what’s next. Until then, keep listening to the episodes you love, and stay connected with us online. You will likely see more of us. Remember: This isn’t a goodbye - just a “see you later.” We’re stepping away to take some time for ourselves, recharge, and to focus our energy on what we have built - and less on what we can build.
The truth is, we don’t yet know what the future holds for our show. Maybe a weekly episode? or monthly? We will let you know. We’re taking this break to reflect, dream, and hopefully come back with renewed energy and fresh ideas.
But for now - Let's dive in. Today we're talking about slang words "now vs then". It's pretty fun, no cap.
Forever Grateful,
Brittany & Ryan

Let's talk about the grueling pressure to always do more. It’s like there's an unwritten rule that if you’re not constantly doing more, you’re doing something wrong. We're supposed to celebrate the hustle, glorify the grind, and have this relentless need to achieve more, be more, and have more. But when will I feel like i'm doing enough? and what does "too much" look like? In this episode, we delve into the delicate balance between ambition and presence with a sobering conversation about some pressures in our lives and the tolls they take.
Join us as we explore the tension and stress that arise when juggling multiple commitments, starting new ventures, and striving for more, even when we already have what we desire. How do you balance so many things? and most importantly - when do you stop and take inventory of your life and make sure that the challenges you've added are still align with the end goals.
because at the end of the day, what if, doing less, being present, and valuing quality over quantity were actually the keys to a more fulfilling life? Maybe, just maybe, the relentless pressure to always “do more” is a distraction from what truly matters.
Who knows!
Enjoy!

The long awaited episode. Ryan is so excited he can't even sit still - as he takes us through his experience after having a vasectomy. From "procreational" to "recreational". We're here to answer the real questions like, "Do you keep your socks on?" and "Does tape ever belong on a penis?" We got it all. Plus, we have a few other stories that you have to hear!
Ps. We talk about The "Magic" of Santa in this one - hide yo kids.

Do you think that when you die you get to watch a highlight reel of your Best Moments? .... What about WORST MOMENTS? Because this past weekend I almost blew up my car. Such a simple task, gone sideways. And now I can only assume my wife has lost all faith in me moving forward, Right? Why is it so important to me that my wife knows I'm handy?
Also, we also saw Alanis Morissette live in concert and it was so much fun. But as usual, when we're out and about - we had some funny moments, and we need to share them with you.
Enjoy!

Summer break is here. The kids are home for the summer and literally anything can happen. The house could be on fire as I write this. We just don't know. Speaking of summer, take a second and try to remember that feeling when school finally came to an end and it was officially summer break. The relief. The excitement. You know, when everyone was just watching the clock, no work to be complete and your teacher had already checked out. No wonder our kids don't want to grow up. Being a kid is the best.
Today we talk about why our kids don't want to grow up, Brittany continues the resurrection of "I Love You and Your Annoying" and also we try to figure out if Ryan has any talents. So far none.
Enjoy!

Today we are so excited to be joined by Erica Djossa who is the CEO and founder of Momwell. She is a psychotherapist specializing in maternal mental health with over a decade of experience. It's time we talk about the motherload - this invisible backpack of responsibilities that, more times than not - gets handed to mom. Erica is steadfast on helping people navigate the complexities of motherhood, and helping mothers find a version of motherhood that is sustainable for your mental health and your relationship. We also discuss how gender norms, unrealistic pressures, and socialized expectations have created an unworkable system - sometimes leading to resentment in your partner.
So how can we create a division of labour that is manageable for you and your partner?
Have a listen!

The human mind is a complex thing. The things we do. The way we think. Sometimes you have to ask - am I okay?
Today we are chatting about the intrinsic nature of our thoughts and actions. Why do we do things the way we do - and why do we feel the way we feel? Do you find it hard to be as happy as other people? Or do you think extremely happy people are not actually that happy? The internal dialogue that plays on repeat in our brain can be a blessing and a curse at times, and can ultimately have a massive impact on your mental health and your outward view on the world. Join us today and let's talk about some of the oddity's of the human mind.
In this episode, we touch on topics related to mental health and make light-hearted jokes as we believe this form of humor can bring us together, and act as a way of healing for many. We want to emphasize that we fully recognize the seriousness of mental health issues and the importance of seeking professional help. If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, we encourage you to reach out to a mental health professional or your trusted support system.
Your mental well-being is important to us.
Enjoy!
