Assemblyman Tri Ta introduced new legislation to promote financial literacy in K – 12 education. His bill, AB 526, will allocate funding for the purchase of standards-aligned instructional materials in financial literacy and professional development. Many Californians are reporting that scammers drained their inflation relief debit cards before they could use the money. What's worse? They're now finding out they may have to pay income taxes on the money they never received.
