What a weekend of racing we have coming up! While the Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes has only attracted seven horses, it is shaping up to be a cracker between a couple of cult heroes - Mr Brightside & Alligator Blood.

In Sydney, The Shorts serves as an entree to The Everest, which is just four weeks away, while the 7 Stakes has attracted a high-quality field for the inaugural running.

We had the pleasure of meeting Danny Peisley and hosting him in the studio for a very open and honest conversation. Danny’s journey is one of success after coming back from drug and alcohol addiction, homelessness and family tragedy. 

Danny is a jockey originally from Port Macquarie and he opened up and let us in on his remarkable story from a 15 year old apprentice to a recovering jockey finding his feet again after 8 years of obscurity due to addiction.
