Today I sit down with Hani Anis, Founder and Creative Head of Anis Collections, a luxury South Asian bridal boutique and the Founder + CEO of Kahani Digital, a social media agency designed to tell the story of South Asian owned or founded small businesses. Hani and I have so much in common, two WOC who started off in the safe route, for her investment banking. But over time she knew she had a calling to pursue entrepreneurship and through networking with the right people, s/o to you Natalie Barbu, she knew she was meant to follow her passions and ditch the corporate life too.

Hani shares how she started Anis Collections in college and how working as a freelancer in social media, much like myself, led her to running two very different companies + figuring it all out as she goes. We talk the ever elusive, balance, building a team, growth + being true to you at all times. I've said it before and I'll probably say it a million more times but the last year has truly been the most transformative and impactful on my life, wellness, mindset and overall wellbeing. I wanted to dedicate a bonus episode (that was originally the intro to Thursday's episode but it deserved its own moment) to the lessons I learned this year and my intentions for the new year.
