Is it good or bad? Well, you decide.

If you experience inconsistent or abusive caregiving, you may unconsciously seek out similar dynamics in adulthood, as these patterns are what they have come to know as "normal". Same if you experience trauma in early life.
Scientific research has found that individuals often find themselves in situations that reminds them about their trauma, since, their unconscious mind is drawn to familiar patterns. And the word unconscious is central. This is not something we are aware of.
In this episode also some talk about Avidya, a fundamental cause of suffering in yogic philosophy. It refers to a lack of true understanding of our own nature and the reality around us.

Self knowledge and self awareness - and self reflection.
The more you know yourself, the more patience you have for what you see in others, is a quote by Erik Eriksson.
Interestingly, Carl Jung actually said the same thing – but backwards, in a way:
"Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to anunderstanding of ourselves."
Enjoy the episode – and, yes, there will be some ahimsa thrown in, as well.
