LIKEITORNOT is back! And boy do I got something for you today. A wrong-number call should be a 10-second “sorry, got the wrong guy” and a hang-up type of thing. Instead, I found an old recording on my phone and realized I’d accidentally captured a full, unfiltered conversation with a stranger who confidently introduces himself as “the honorable Republican president elect Mark Patrick Seymour.” I hit play, let it run, and the result is one of the most unpredictable LIKEITORNOT moments I’ve ever had on tape. 

We jump fast from personal backstory to big claims about American politics, the Constitution, and how power is supposed to work when money is not calling the shots. Then the tone shifts again into faith and coping: he talks about volunteering at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, leans hard on the Holy Bible, and repeats prayer as the answer when life gets heavy, including “when in doubt, pray it out.” Which I fuck with. Whether you hear it as heartfelt, alarming, funny, or all three at once, it’s a real-time look at how people explain themselves when they believe they’ve got a mission. 

And because this show never stays in one lane, we also veer into Alaska memories, family details, and some wild pop-culture connections involving Tom Brady and Eric Clapton. We talk music, including a shoutout to the Seattle Christian rock band Bloodgood and their song “Killing the Beast,” then bring it home with Tacoma flavor: Frisco Freeze, greasy burgers, and a plea to get Whoppers back to 99 cents. National Chicken Wing Day is the perfect excuse to eat wings and say drink so I opened my contacts, started cold calling friends and ask one question Tacoma takes seriously. A random afternoon at Pizza Time Pub on Sixth Avenue turns into the kind of raw Tacoma sports podcast you cannot script. Frank and I were sitting in the window with a drink, a mic, and a full room behind us when the talk jumps from WWF nostalgia and all-time wrestler picks to a surprisingly serious question: why do we get so attached to the sports eras we grew up in? That thread runs through everything, even when we are cracking jokes or getting sidetracked by a no-caller ID interrupting the table. 

Then we go right at the third rail of NBA conversation: LeBron James vs Michael Jordan and what “GOAT” even means. We argue stats, defense, rule changes, and longevity, and we admit the real issue is how different eras get judged by different standards. If you love NBA history, playoff basketball, or just hearing friends debate without polishing every word, this section is for you.
