Jason and Karal dive into the cultural differences and similarities by our guests, Dapo and Memi, growing up in strong Nigerian families. This is while trying to balance traditional culture with American culture (yeah, that's already diverse as it is). There are some parallels between both couples as well as common family values...and of course laughs. We end it with Dapo and Memi joining in Word Play so that's sure to be hilarious.

We're back with our first episode of 2023! New Year's resolutions are what's on Jason and Karal's minds, but this isn't the traditional want to lose weight or want to eat healthier. Making a change doesn't have to be limited to just starting on one day of the year.

As we close out 2022, we're grateful for so many wonderful memories and experiences during the Christmas season. And of course we like movies and music, and love family.

Saying I'm sorry or the act of apologizing out loud to Jason used to be literally painful for Karal. Then going on to hold a grudge towards the person who held you accountable only makes it worse. There's no one time of the year to be grateful and thankful. We value family, traditions, friends and growth. Funny moments come about when talking about Thanksgiving dishes we do and don't like. Importantly is the value in for others who you may be able to help just with time. Happy Thanksgiving!

Growing up in Detroit, Michigan wasn't easy. Witnessing overdoses as early as 5th grade, being a teen parent and more only made Karal's dad stronger...quitting was not an option. Sports and the power of a positive male role model (a coach) is what ultimately saved his life while his cousins, other family members and friends died from the street life sometimes right in front of him. This led to entrepreneurship and wisdom for days.
