The new "Mortal Kombat" movie is out on HBO Max, and has gotten some seriously mixed reviews. I wanted to dive into that, and see if we could land on a reasonable take. I could think of nobody better than my good friend Sal Pennachio (who is one of the few people that I can admit loves video games more than I do), to come on and try to hash out not only the new movie, but the two old movies from the 90s, and the games themselves, which were the impetus behind everything.

There's some fun facts, some piping hot takes, and some arguments that won't be resolved until the listeners tell us who is right and who is wrong.

TJ Trimboli of E4 fame was nice enough to come back and do a super-sized episode all about the best (are they?) movies this year. The Academy Awards are something that TJ and I both enjoy and hate at the same time, and you'll hear all about it. From the struggles this year due to COVID-19, to breaking down each Best Picture nom, to our own picks for each of the major awards, and some pure nonsense thrown in-between.

I intended to do an entire episode on the "Shameless" (Showtime) Series Finale this week, but then as I started watching the final season, and taking notes on it, I had a million thoughts about why shows should just go out on top rather than dragging the corpse of a show around that was once good, and pumping it full of bad storylines just to get to the end. Can you tell yet that half of this episode (the whole thing tbh) is just going to be one long rant? Here goes nothing...
