In today’s episode, Amanda sits down over some refreshing Tequila sodas (with lime!) with comedian, writer, actor, and improvisor Natalie Metcalfe (If I Could #Throwback Time, The Adventures of Tom Shadow, CBC’s CANAdoDAday) to discuss valuing your creative uniqueness, her fear of being a bad friend, and how much she loves to be in control. She is a current Mainstage cast member of The Second City Toronto, a CANAdoDAday writer for CBC Kids, and a Co-writer/performer of the Canadian Comedy Award-winning musical comedy The Adventures of Tom Shadow. She performs in the Award-nominated improv show HookUp, currently airing every Thursday night on Bad Dog TV’s YouTube channel, and you can check out her monthly produced sketches on her Instagram, Twitter and Facebook!
**Note: While editing this episode I realized that during the conversation I used the phrase “bottom of the totem pole”, and I’d like to acknowledge that in doing so I’m ignorantly appropriating Indigenous culture. Rather than edit it out, I want to take ownership of using the phrase and work to do better.
