The Lit Round Table

This week the Sib Nerds discuss Chapters 4 & 5. We seem to have developed a pattern of Locke visiting with Requin and then being taken in by Stragos. It's a bit of an unfortunate pattern, for the boys. They're just getting beat up all over the place. Looks like we may be heading into pirate territory too, which is exciting! We've come to the last reminiscence, which is a little sad… Happy Reading! Josef was inspired by the new God of War Ragnarok game to talk about all things Vikings! Join the Sib-Nerds as they discussion Vikings. As always, we are not historians but love learning! We also really enjoy different shows and stories that utilize Vikings. If anything, Anna was inspired to do some more research after recording this episode. Random discussions before the episode content: What is an eggcorn? What is a big box store? And, the question I know you've been dying to know, are dragon eggs fertilized before or after their laid? Welcome back to the Gentleman Bastards! This week the Sib Nerds discuss the Prologue and Chapter 1. Our boys, Jean and Locke, spend some time in a casino environment, and it's fun to see them up to their old antics. The Bondsmagi are going to haunt them—literally and figuratively? We also learn that Jean had to pull Locke out of a deep depression after they left Camorr. Time will tell if the tension between Jean and Locke will cause problems as they deal with external enemies. Join the Sib-Nerds as they continue their journey through Hall of Smoke by H.M. Long and discuss chapters 37-42.

After Hessa comes to an agreement with Omaskat, things of course don't quite go as according to plan. There was space on the page for most, if not all, of the characters we've met along the way. But, mission accomplished? Maybe?

Once again, the arbitrary place we made the chapter breaks left us on a cliffhanger! No worries though, for next week you can finish the book!

For next time, read chapters 43-end.

Happy Reading!
