We finished the book! Join the Sib-Nerds as they conclude their journey through The Blade Itself. We went into these last few chapters with high expectations—and we were not disappointed! Dare we admit that Glokta is one of our favorite characters now? And we have so many questions about Logen! For our next Read Along beginning on March 23, pick up The Light of the Midnight Stars by Rena Rossner! This book doesn't have chapter number or names, but each section is marked by a quote. For week 1, read until you get to this quote: The Book of Solomonars, page 2, Introduction We launched a Patreon! This week we read to: Back to the Mud. Join the Sib-Nerds as they continue their journey through The Blade Itself. This week brought us some real highs and real lows! We learn more about the Maker and his daughter, as well as some unexpected insights into Major West's character. Ferro also joins our main group of characters! Also, French Horn on a stick? For our next episode on March 9, read to the end! We launched a Patreon! We are launching a Patreon! If you want to support us there, here's the link: https://www.patreon.com/thelitroundtable This week we read to: The House of the Maker. Join the Sib-Nerds as they continue their journey through The Blade Itself. This week was very plot-thick—which we loved! There was a shift in formula for the last two chapters this week, which bothered Anna more than it bothered Josef. Finally, we get the last fight of the tournament—and of course it's entertaining! We learn more about the Eaters… and theorize about who may partially be an Eater. Who do you think might be an Eater? For our next episode on February 23, read to: Back to the Mud. Happy Reading!

We are launching a Patreon! If you want to support us there, here's the link: https://www.patreon.com/thelitroundtable This episode is potentially spoiler heavy. We spend a fair amount of time talking about The Book of Boba Fett (23:11 – 30:56). Although we only have the title of the new Amazon Lord of the Rings show, the Sib-nerds are able to make some guesses on what to expect from The Rings of Power. We're both incredibly excited, but also trying to keep expectations low. Anna is reading: - Farmer Boy by: Laura Ingalls Wilder - The Rise of Kyoshi by: F.C. Yee - Flower Crowns and Fearsome Things by: Amanda Lovelace Anna is watching: - Violet Evergarden (Netflix) - Demon Slayer, season 2 (Crunchyroll) - Attack on Titan (Crunchyroll) - The Book of Boba Fett (Disney+) - The Witcher, season 2 (Netflix) - The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf (Netflix) - Critical Role, campaign 3 (YouTube) Anna is playing: - The One Ring RPG Josef is watching: - Demon Slayer, season 2 (Crunchyroll) - Attack on Titan (Crunchyroll) - The Book of Boba Fett (Disney+) - Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (Netflix) - Arcane (Netflix) Josef is reading: - The Wheel of Time: Lord of Chaos (book 6) by: Robert Jordan - The Blade Itself by: Joe Abercrombie Josef is playing: - Horizon Zero Dawn - Detroit Become Human - Final Fantasy 7 - The One Ring RPG Title reveal video from Amazon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhqGCPMfkNM Join us on our read along through The Blade Itself by: Joe Abercrombie! This week we read to: Her Kind Fight Everything. Join the Sib-Nerds as they continue their journey through The Blade Itself. Jezal is now a confirmed narcissist. Glokta spends time in the universities, and therefore had one of Anna's favorite interactions so far! We meet the navigator, Brother Longfoot, who proves to be an interesting character…we're excited to see him interact with other characters. For our next episode on February 9, read to: The House of the Maker. Happy Reading!

This week we read to: Nobility. Join the Sib-Nerds as they continue their journey through The Blade Itself. Lots of plot happening now! Jezal continues to be gross about his feelings towards Ardee. Logen and Bayaz cross paths with Jezal and Glokta. Logen is fumbling his way through this new city. Glokta has a new objective. And Ferro continues to show us the despicable side of humans. For our next episode on January 26, read to: Her Kind Fight Everything. Happy Reading!

This week we read to: Barbarians at the Gate. Join the Sib-Nerds as they continue their journey through The Blade Itself. The first chapter of Part II introduces us to a new POV character in a new setting. We're both excited to learn more about her and see how her story intersects with the rest of the characters. Overall takeaway: they all need therapy. But the real question…. Is the cookpot the Big Bad? For our next episode on January 12, read to: Nobility. Happy Reading!
