Our esteemed colleague Dermot Finglas the Voice of Country Music on LMFM passed away last evening and we're in mourning at the Station today.  As a tribute to Dermot here's the interview he did on Late Lunch on his retirement back in November 2016.

"Dundalk Diva" world acclaimed Mezzo Soprano Tara Erraught dropped in for a chat with one of her biggest fans ahead of her appearance at the Drogheda Classical on Thursday.  Bronagh Conlon of Listoke Gin was in the spotlight on "Lets Talk Business".  Christmas Cuties - lets be having them!  While Lolo Robinson is up for a National Charity Impacy Award this evening and well-deserved it is too.

Dundalk Young Irelands are Leinster Champions and listening to manager Adrian O'Donoghue its clear what their achievement means to all concerned.  Eimer Duffy and Melanie Boylan dovetailed perfectly as they discussed managing your social media presence.  Bairbre Kelly took a number of questions of a personal nature and offered lots of sound advice.  While Gerry paid a final visit to Termonfeckin Delicious Turkeys!!

He was Ireland's best-known Angler at home and around the world!  A Cavan man who moved to Navan many moons ago to set up home on the Boyne Road.  He was a brilliant angler, fly-tyer, writer, teacher and promoter of the sport throughout his life.  Peter O'Reilly's legacy will live on for years to come and as a tribute to a gentleman here's an interview from May 2011 he did with fellow angler Gerry Kelly on the Late Lunch Show.

Today on the show first lady of musicals Rebecca Storm was with us discussing her latest role in Calendar Girls, Clare Ryan UCD archaeologist and Navan native shared her views on the controversial new cycle route planned for the Athlumney area in Navan. Clare stressed how this proposed route could cause extensive damage to the 15th century Athlumney castle which is a protected monument. We met Mary Doherty from Dunshaughlin President of Down Syndrome Ireland who shared her views on her constant battle for basic services for people with Down Syndrome plus a very beautiful dolls house arrived in studio.
