The Little Dum Dum Club with Tommy & Karl

Making his debut in the "studio", this week we're joined by LARRY EMDUR! It's a rapid-fire, old-school single guest episode as we chat to Larry about his new memoir Happy As! We delve into Larry's history with this podcast, his surfing days, the wild story of his first property purchase and heaps more! Plus we wedge a good amount of our own rot in there including Karl's days in the archives of the Maryborough paper, Tommy's dog, some missing pornography, and pumping iron at the gym while reading!

This week we've got a huge showcase of freaks to discuss and who better to dive into them with than MELANIE BRACEWELL and GREG LARSEN! Karl's nearly been bashed while on the phone, Tommy's made friends with some self-proclaimed Brisbane royalty, we find out that Mel is deeply familiar with one of our favourite New Zealand comedians, there's big drama in the "Broome" comedy scene, and Karl's got a "new" bed. Phew!

Two great mates on the show this week: HARLEY BREEN & DANNY MCGINLAY! We finally wrap up the saga of the Mystery Bus Spewer from our live show in Heathcote just in time to delve into some new drama from our recent live show in Perth! PLUS, Karl’s put photos on the wall of his comedy club, much to the chagrin of some other comedians, Danny’s going to be back on the TV (?), and Harley somehow has stories that trump nearly every single topic that we’ve brought up. Huge fun!

Almost two years after tickets went on sale and after many false starts, we’ve finally made it to PERTH for a huge live show! Tommy’s had a stressful week of gigs, Chandler’s been up to his old tricks in Thailand, BRETT BLAKE reminisces about his wild early share-houses in the suburbs of Perth, we find out about AKMAL’s big break, and we spend ages begging ANDREW WOLFE to tell us a story! PERTH COMEDY.

This week we’re joined by DAVE O’NEIL & BEN RUSSELL to dig even further into our latest scam that we talked about last week. What is it? We don't want to say it here, listen to the episode and find out. We’re slowly working out a list of nominees, a host for the event, and even a location! PLUS Tommy’s been pumped up at the gym and gone head to head with a scammer, Karl empties the thirsty DM folder on his burner account and Dave's done a gig for nut people!

We’re podding in style this week, in an incredibly small hotel room with GEN FRICKER and JOSH EARL! We do a full dissection of Chandler’s recent open mic comedy experience in Koh Phanang, with plenty of diversions along the way: free pizza in Bendigo, Tommy’s AI lookalike, Gen’s brutal introduction at a Gala show and heaps more. PLUS, in Talkin’ Dum Dum, we cook up one of our best schemes of all time!

This week we're joined by DANIELLE WALKER and BEN LOMAS, plus a very tanned Karl - direct from Koh Samui. We hear all about D̶u̶m̶D̶u̶m̶C̶o̶n̶2̶2̶ Karlchella and Blanket finding a new dad in Thailand. Meanwhile, there's more Danielle Walker family madness woven in, involving snakes, bug catchers, and hammocks. And in Talkin' Dum Dum, Tommy's had a nightmare airport experience.

It’s the long-overdue return of LAWRENCE MOONEY and LEHMO! Mooney’s tight-lipped about his recent employment termination but that doesn’t stop us from trying to get any scrap of gossip out of him. Meanwhile, Lehmo’s Cleo Bachelor of the Year photoshoot has been a hit in a very unexpected place, we go deep on Mooney’s photoshoot for the Melbourne Museum and his past life as a customs dog handler, and we issue a challenge for any new parents out there!

We're recording off-site this week in a beautiful serviced apartment paid for by the taxpayer, with NICK CODY and LUKE HEGGIE! We have a crack at coming for Cody's commercial radio job with our best version of a phone-in topic, Tommy's left some disturbing paraphernalia lying around in a hotel room, there's a new comedy gig opening up which shares a big similarity to a gig that Tommy used to run PLUS we've found a way to track down all the other Dassalos in the world - and the countries they're from WILL shock you!

This week we’re joined by the bad boys of Perth Comedy, MIKE GOLDSTEIN and SAMI SHAH! Tommy’s received a devastating message from a relative regarding the Make A Wish foundation so we spend a lot of time brainstorming a response. Chandler’s about to head off to Thailand - coincidentally, the location of Sami’s wedding, which he graciously unpacks for us. PLUS we’ve all had weird Uber driver experiences, Sami’s had an eventful haircut and Chandler dives into the ‘other messages’ folder!
