The Peter that suffered and died by crucifixion for the sake of his Savior was a changed man from the naïve and weak man who denied knowing Jesus the night he was arrested in the garden of Gethsemane. As Pastor Danny explains in today’s message, when he realized his failure, Peter resolved that he would not deny Christ again, even if it meant persecution or death. Ultimately he was tested to that degree and he counted it an honor to give his life in the name of Jesus.

Today Pastor Danny will remind you of the temptations to sin that Satan brought to Jesus after His 40 days of fasting in the wilderness. Satan tried to lure Jesus in 3 areas, and Pastor Danny will remind you that these temptations describe the sins you commit still today! Jesus was able to resist the temptations and come out the other side victorious, having clung to the promises of God found in the Bible! You too can have victory over temptation – immerse yourself in the Word, and use it as your weapon!

Have you achieved perfection yet? Of course not! As long as you walk in the flesh, you are going to deal with the sins of the flesh. But, as Pastor Danny explains in today’s message, this doesn’t mean you admit defeat and just allow Satan to walk all over you with temptation after temptation. You can live in victory. Through faith in the work Christ did on the cross you are made righteous in God’s sight, and He gives you the Holy Spirit to guide, comfort and help you resist a life of sin.

God set up a system of sacrifices that would atone for the Israelites sin long ago. This included an innocent animal being put to death in place of a person. Pastor Danny will share today that Jesus took the place of this sacrificial animal once and for all. He came to earth and lived a perfect life, never sinning or giving in to the temptations Satan tried to lure Him with. He was the picture of innocence, and He was put to death in your place! Jesus sacrifice covers your sins, if your willing to accept it.

You should take great pride in your relationship with Christ – and boast of His amazing love and grace in your life. As Pastor Danny reminds us in today’s message, the grace He has given you is beyond the scope of reason. You deserved to die for your rebellion and sin and God had every right to condemn you for your spiteful rejection of His design. Yet, He loved you so much that He made a way through Jesus, not only for you to receive mercy, but to be made a brother or sister with Christ.
