Many in our culture will acknowledge that Jesus was a great man who made a big influence on culture for the last 2000 years, but that’s where they stop. They won’t acknowledge His divinity or His role in establishing and maintaining our New Covenant with God. As Pastor Danny begins our study of Hebrews, we are reminded of Jesus’ importance. Your salvation is entirely dependent on Him. No sacrifice. No works. Nothing you can do to earn it. It is entirely based on Jesus who intercedes on your behalf.

As Pastor Danny begins his study in Hebrews today, he'll remind you that there's a new covenant that you get to live under. Before Jesus came, everyone lived by the law of the Old Testament if they wanted to be considered righteous in God's sight. It was impossible to be perfect, though. Jesus is the only one who ever accomplished it – He lived the law perfectly, never once stepping out of line, and then He died the death of a sinner. His death covers you in grace if you choose to take it, making you perfect in God's sight!

We are reminded of the incredible mercy and grace God gives us. Imagine what Christ wen through because of our sin, yet He asked for God to forgive his murderers.

Grace is the most amazing thing, isn't it? Grace is undeserved favor. It's getting more blessings than you can imagine, when you've done absolutely nothing to deserve it! Pastor Danny will share with you today that the Apostle Paul began and ended his letters with this word – GRACE. That's the story of a Christian's life – it began with grace, Jesus dying on the cross for your sins. It will end with grace too – that blood that washed you clean continues to do so until the day you meet your Savior face to face!
