Nothing could stop Paul from preaching the Gospel. He experienced persecution, famine, beatings, imprisonment, and all other kinds of hardship. However, his zeal to spread the news that faith alone in Jesus Christ brings salvation could not be quenched until his final breath. Then, the Apostle Peter preaches a message that adds thousands to the church in one day. In today’s message, Pastor Danny teaches us that the Holy Spirit is what empowered the first century church to do the work of the ministry. We too need the Spirit to indwell us and give us power from on high to fulfill our God-given mission on earth.

As Israel’s leader, Joshua, prepared to step down, he gave a farewell address. As he spoke, Joshua reminded Israel of all the miraculous things God had done for them to deliver them out of slavery in Egypt and defeat their enemies in the Promised Land. Joshua also sternly warned the people to be faithful to the One True God and to not be tempted to bow down to foreign gods.
