When Paul was faced with being in prison for preaching the Gospel, his response was, “I don’t care. I'm going anyway” and he did! He went anyway and he was imprisoned. He was beaten. He was left for dead. But this is the same man even though we are hard-pressed we are not crushed. Today Pastor Danny will show us that we can be like Paul. We can say, “I don’t care. Here’s the greatest news ever! We mess up. We make mistakes. And sometimes we choose what is wrong fully knowing that it’s wrong, but Pastor Danny is going to show us today that no matter how badly we’ve messed things up when we pray and repent God hears us. No matter where we are God hears us! He promised that when we pray He will hear us and He does and then God forgives. If you’re stuck in the consequences of your sins today all you need to do is pray and God will hear you.

If we are going to be a voice for God in the world, we're going to look like fools. The world doesn't know and doesn't understand God or His message and so they reject God's messengers. Like Pastor Danny says, it might that standing up and speaking God's Word is going to alienate you from your friends or your family. They might think that you're crazy! But when we're a fool for Christ we gain so much more then what we lose. Don't let the opinions of this world keep you from sharing the good news today.

God loves you so much. He loves you so much that He sent his son for you. And even though His son was beaten, mocked, and crucified by the people, God still kept loving them. He kept loving you and He's going to continue to send messages to bring you the great news of His love and forgiveness until you really hear the message. He's not going to quit. Pastor Danny is one of those messengers today, and he's bringing you a message of forgiveness that you won't want to miss.

We’ve all met people who feel like they are going to be just fine because they go to church most Sundays, but Pastor Danny’s going to remind us today that keeping up religious practice isn’t the same thing as a life of repentance and following Jesus. As you listen to today’s message, take a close look at your own life. Are you counting on weekly church services to save you or do you really know what it means to follow Christ? When you take a close at the sin of sodom, the sin of America isn’t that different. Pastor Danny shows us today that their sin was that they were arrogant, overfed, and unconcerned. They were comfortable people. They were comfortable people in a comfortable culture. America is a culture that values comfort. We make money to buy homes and cars that make us, well, comfortable. But there is a danger in comfort. It can make us spiritually apathetic. Let’s get uncomfortable today.

Gratitude would likely be the furthest thing from your heart if you were told that you’re going to be thrown into a lion's den because you wouldn’t renounce your faith and disobey God. How did Daniel stand so resolutely in the face of that? As Pastor Danny will explain in today's message, Daniel trusted the wisdom and provision of God. He didn’t know that God would spare him from the lions. But he did know that God would accomplish good through him and he was grateful for that privilege.

Imagine being plucked up from your life here and being taken by force into a new land. But instead of being imprisoned or mistreated, they actually feed you some of their best food and share the most attractive parts of their culture with you. They are trying to win you over and the only price that you have to pay is your values and heritage. Just let go of those things and convert or face unknown consequences. Most of us would probably struggle with that but as Pastor Danny will point out today Daniel stood strong for his face.
