Talk about an exciting week in podcasting.  This week I purchased and set up a variety of podcast equipment items.  What does that mean for you?  Well, it means this podcast came out a bit rough.  Add that to Legren Stoneaxe having some internet trouble, and this podcast could have been a disaster.

But do not fret.

Everyone needs a practice run, and we managed to push through and deliver a pretty interesting show.

So if you've ever wondered a bit about the humans, here is your chance to learn just a bit.  Enjoy.

Patch 6.0 is finally out, and that means the increase to Draenei lore!  With the xpac less than a month a way, we wanted to take a look at Draenei lore and the difficulties in roleplaying a race that has been alive for thousands of years.  And who better than to pull in Immy of the Emerald Dream server.  

Immy leads a Draenei only guild called Scions of Draenor.  Though he pops back and forth between Alliance and Horde, his knowledge of the history of Draenei can help new roleplayers develop characters that are not cliche.  As we saw in the final Lords of War cinematic, Draenei do get angry and vengeful.  

And can kick some major ass.

We also discuss the new quest lines in Blasted Lands that Blizzard gives us.  Though it's nice to finally see some content, some of us are upset that their isn't more.

With Vol'jin as that wacky warchief now, it's time to look at a bit of the troll lore.  We bring in a special guest, Rasek, guild leader of Gor'Watha Warband on the Emerald Dream server.  Rasek has been part of a troll-centric guild for four years, and she shares her knowledge with us. 

With the final installment of the Lords of War, we get to talk about something other than orcs.  Also, garrisons, are they RP Friendly.  And an update to the TRP2 add-on for Warlords of Draenor is in the works.  

Thrall.  Loved by many.  Hated by many others.  A controversial figure in the World of Warcraft universe.  Some say he is an outright bad character.  Others adore him, and he can do no harm.

Garrosh.  An orc with a bad reputation.   Is he really evil?  Or merely an orc stuck with a Horde he was never meant to lead?  What could he have become if allowed to mature?  We will never really know.

This weeks podcast deals with a bit of history of Thrall and Garrosh.  Both seem to be prominent figures in the upcoming expansion, in one way or another.  And both need to be understood.

We loved it.

The interactions with our listeners made it amazing.  Though I have learned some lessons and will have them fixed by next week.

This week we covered a variety of topics, including some lore in regards to WoD.  The newest installment of Lords of War came out, and Durotan is officially the good guy.

We also bring up Hellscream again, and talk about how I want to play a priest.  Oh those heals!

Eventually we get into our interview.  We learn the backstory of Roid/Darg/Ugan, and the wonderful Clan Stormfis on the Emerald Dream server.

I'll be honest here, the subject material for this week was a last minute change.  I lost an interviewee, so developed this episode within minutes.  And to be honest, I love the subject matter!

And I think you will too.

Guild storylines, something I have created in the past to help push the Earthspear Clan forward.  Often times a large amount of work goes into these story arcs.

But, do they serve a purpose?

That was the question posed to me from the RP channel of the Emerald Dream realm.  I hadn't ever thought about whether or not they actually served a purpose.  In my view, they helped to create a certain dynamic within the guild I was a part of.

As I was preparing for this podcast, the thought came to me that these storylines could prove to be harmful if not done correctly.  Feeling could be hurt.  Anger could be show.

Guilds could be torn apart!

Okay, so I'm a bit over dramatic, but what are the real consequences?

And we bring Legren Stoneaxe back to share the spotlight.  His audition for the co-host spot started the minute he turned on the mic.  And I would say he did just fine.

But I will let you be the judge.

Should Legren continue as my co-host?
