Main Topic - Game Immersion

This week I was sitting back and reading the usual World of Warcraft blogs, when he came upon an intriguing questions.

Are you okay with broken immersion?

And in the article they are specifically talking about game immersion in WoW. You can find the full article on Blizzardwatch.com.

This is something I've thought about often when playing the game. We often times run into things such as pop culture references or gag quests. And for some people this may pull them out of the game. Out of their immersion within this world.

Yamino and I take on the question, but we're also curious about your thoughts. What do you think? Does it affect your game?

Machik has had no time to even venture into the World of Warcraft, but he did get to test out a bit of Overwatch.  Yamino on the other hand did lots of leveling.  So many alts, so little time.

No fable this week.  But it will return next week!

Gelbin Mekkatorque is a man of small stature, but he holds a large sway over the gnomes of Warcraft.  What many people don't know is that Gelbin, and his gnomes, made it possible to travel between Ironforge and Stormwind.  

He also led the gnomes through many troubles from war within to war without.  But how did he come to lead the gnomes?  And what does it mean to be the leader of one of the most intelligent races in Warcraft?

Alisaunder continues to toss us wonderful emails.  But this week we're not super sure that Alisaunder is right.

And we need a bit of your help in regards to another part of Alisaunder's emails.  So listen in and toss us your ideas on the question of cinematics.

Not much going on from Machik and Yamino this week.  Oh Blizzcon, get here a bit faster for the excitement train to come once again.

 Well, we covered the biggest and baddest leader of them all last week.  This week we move on to someone who has been alive a little longer.  She's got a strong head on her shoulders and continues to thrive even after multiple tragedies.

Yep, we're talking about Tyrande Whisperwind.

The leader of the Night Elves, a lengend of the Sentinels, and an overall stoic presence among the Alliance.  

 Alisuander joins us once again with two wonderful emails.  And he brings up a good question dealing with Blizzard running out of things to give us in game.  And by that I mean characters, and story.

But, is Alisaunder right?  Yamino and Machik discuss the merits of the question.

And boy does he have a background.  Though we only touch on a few parts of his life during the podcast, Varian is a major player in Warcraft.  And to know about him is to know about what the Alliance went through with the first invasion of the orcs.
