  • TLCP #071 - Magni & Class/Race Combos Part II
    Introduction and General Weeks Events

We begin another wonderful week with Machik, Legren and Yamino, and all their excitement in the Warcraft world.

Legren shares his new love for dwarven shaman, Yamino struts around the fire festival, and Machik looks in on his garrison from time to time.

    Fantasy Fables

A story focused on Pandaren?  Check.  Shado-pan included?  Check.  Lots of fighting?  Check.

Yep, Legren did a spot on job this week!

You can read last weeks story at http://www.thelorecraft.com/forward.

Main Topic - Class/Race Combos Continued

We start off first with a discussion of the new comic, Fault Lines.  Magni, back from the stone?  Yes it's true.  Make sure to check it out in all it's glory.

From there we continue our discussion of Class/Race Combos, but this time it's all about the Horde.  And of course arguments erupt between our loveable hosts.

So many emails this week, I don't know where to start.  From talk about actors to ideas of weapon enchantments.  And believe it or not, they're not all just from our farmer friend.

Hi there, Machik here.  I love the LoreCraft Podcast and bringing all of the fabulous lore and roleplay to you guys.  When this podcast started in August 2014, I had no idea I'd still be sharing my excitement of the lore this long.  Over the years I have handled all the financial details involved with the podcast myself.

But now I need your help.

This is a passion and love of mine, so the podcast will continue to be created as long as I love the game, but your support can help enhance it.  Stop over to our Patreon page and think about tossing a dollar or two our way.  The money we back goes back into the podcast, covering hosting fees, website fees, etc. along with allowing us to purchase prizes for the giveaways we do.

  • TLCP #070 - Class/Race Combos and Lore
    Introduction and General Weeks Events

We have officially hit episode 70, which itself is impressive.  So how did Legren and Machik celebrate this weeks episode in the game of WoW?  Well, they didn't play WoW.  Legren kept himself busy with this thing called real life, and Machik got hooked once again on Heroes of the Storm.

    And Yamino?

Well, she was sick and didn't visit the podcast till later in the episode.  So let's hope she carried on the Warcraft playing for all three hosts!

    Fantasy Fables

Legren was extremely busy and could not find a story that would work this week.  So we'll be bringing you your fables next week!

You can read last weeks story at http://www.thelorecraft.com/goldroad.

    Main Topic - Class/Race Combos

Last week the discussion of class/race combos came up, and Machik thought it would be a pretty good idea to talk about what works and what doesn't work.  So Legren and Machik begin, and then Yamino shows up to toss in her two cents.

Oh, and she hates Night Elf Mages.  In case you were curious.

    Questions and Answers

None this week.  Which makes us sad.  Toss us your questions!

    Reader Emails

Farmer Gerald is a saviour to the podcast, as he has another wonderful email for us this week.  And talk about running the gamut of subjects.  I'll let you listen to the podcast to hear all about it.

  • TLCP #069 - The Empire of Zul (aka Troll fun)
    Introduction and General Weeks Events

Yamino is back with us this week, but alas, she has still not seen the movie.  So we are fully mum on the movie this week, no worries on spoilers.

Yamion partook in the game of Garrison this week, winning at all costs.  It seems like Machik did the same.  Hence, it will be called World of Garrisoncraft from here on out (or at least until this post is finished.)

    Fantasy Fables

Legren went way back this week, finding a story from 2014.  Having said that, he picked something that teases the reader, so he is to be commended.

Oh, that's all I'm telling you, so enjoy the tease.

    Read the rest at http://www.thelorecraft.com/goldroad.

Main Topic - The Empire of Zul

We move back into the Chronicle this week, and finally discuss a race that started out "fleshy," as Legren likes to call it.  The trolls were the first race on Azeroth that was not in some way a Titan protector.

The created multiple wonderful tribes, then fought each other, then fought the C'Thraxxi, then fought each other, and continued to fight.  Did I mention they like war?

Farmer Gerald brings up a pretty good question about the weakest link in the two factions.  And of course the answer varied among the hosts, who began to bicker.

    Those sill hosts.

  • TLCP #067 - Roleplay, Movie, and Tirisfal's Name
    Introduction and General Weeks Events

With Legren on a bit of a break, Machik and Yamino discuss their fun for the week.  Machik had the chance to visit an old RP event, and Yamino played WoW in real life, as a guildie visited for the week.

Oh, and there is mention of a certain movie coming to us at the end of the week.

    Fantasy Fables

This week Legren offers us a fantastic little story about an Inquisitor ready to take the lead on the investigation into multiple priestess deaths.  It almost feels like a film noir pic, but it's not.

Gain some insight into Merellia, a former Scarlet Crusader from Stratholme, and you just might understand her anger and willingness to kill.

You can read the rest at http://www.thelorecraft.com/inquisitor.

Main Topic - Tyr and Tirisfal's Name, The Beginning.

Tirisfal Glades, a place most of us have visited in game.  But do you know how it got it's name?

Yep, Keeper Tyr gave his life to give us a name.  And of course the start of the human race.  With Vrykul, C'Thraxxi, Earthen, Mechagnomes and Keepers, this is a story you won't want to miss.

  • TLCP #066 - Loken, the Titan Watcher Gone Wrong
    Introduction and General Weeks Events

Yamino is back and feeling over so much better.  And Machik and Legren are back in game and actually roleplaying once again.  What has this world come to?

    Fantasy Fables

This week we go a bit emo on our story.  A Knife in the Dark (The Black Renaissance) by Gyllis on the Moon Guard forums starts with some insight into a none too happy son. There is family hatred, a possible mistress, and an unwanted child, all in the span of a few minutes.

And of course, this is only the beginning.

You can read the rest at http://www.thelorecraft.com/knifeindark.

Main Topic - Loken, The Crazy Titan Watcher

Loken, a Titan Watcher that you may have encountered some time while in Northrend.  But do you know his full history?  Why we have to fight him?  And his abundance of lies?

Affected by Yogg-Saron, Loken started out good, like all the Titan Watchers.  But slowly, with the Old God whispering into his ear, he changed and took down the other Watchers.  We chat just a bit about his history and some of the more damaging things he did.

    Reader Emails

Our farmer friend has indeed been busy this week, with not one, but two emails.  Farmer Gerald brings up some very relevant questions about our discussion of Light and Shadow from the previous weeks, and how Shadow might be a bit more powerful than Fel.

    What the fel!?!?

He also implores Legren to do more searching for stories from the famed European forums.  So maybe our fantasy fables will go global in the coming weeks.

  • TLCP #065 - Starting a Roleplay Guild
    Introduction and General Weeks Events

With Yamino taking a sick day, it's the two crazies of Legren and Machik this week.  And both actually played World of Warcraft.

I know, I was surprised to.

    Fantasy Fables

We got a long one for you this week.  It come from the player Zoq who posted on the World's End Tavern forums.  And the title might just force you into reading it.  The Butcher of Stormwind.

Legren shares with us his very first gnome voice. So listen in and enjoy.

You can read the rest at http://www.thelorecraft.com/thebutcher.

    Main Topic - Primordial Azeroth

So, you want to be a part of a roleplay guild.  But you haven't found one that peaks your interest.  So what is a roleplayer to do?

Start a roleplay guild.  Yep, you heard me.  Get to it.  Legren and I chit chat about the multiple roleplay guilds we've started and share some tips we have about creating a successful roleplay guild.

So, you don't think you could do it?  Either did I.  But I did, and Earthspear Clan was successful.  So get to making that guild!

    Questions and Answers

    Reader Emails

I am honestly not sure what we would do without the famed Farmer Gerald who consistently sends us fabulous emails each week.  I want everyone to look at Farmer Gerald, and be like Farmer Gerald.  Send us those emails.

Of course the first comments this week deal with Legren's hairstyle being implemented into WoW.  And I couldn't agree more.  Then we get into a lot of talk of the Demonsoul and Dragonsoul, and lack of souls.  In the end, we do come up with some decent answers.

    Introduction and General Weeks Events

This week we find out that the crew isn't doing a ton of stuff in WoW, but Machik does mention wanting to start a LoreCraft Guild.

And I have news for you!

    He did!

If you want to be part of the Lorecraft Society, jump over to the Wyrmrest Accord server and find an officer.  And let them know you are a #craftie!

    Fantasy Fables

Legren has perfected the female voice.  But he does indeed have trouble with the dwarven female voice.  This week he makes another go at it.

You can read the rest at http://www.thelorecraft.com/bluntblade.

    Main Topic - Primordial Azeroth

World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume I continues to give us content to chat about.  This time around we focus on the elements and the old gods.

What was it like on Azeroth during those years?  Listen and find out.

Farmer Gerald has returned once again.  I think he may be coming up on a record for consecutive days worth of emails.  Though he almost got us with a spoiler, we were quick to not talk about it on the podcast.  On the other hand, he does bring up some good questions about healing.

And this week is special because we received TWO emails.  Our second email comes from Kreygaron and brings our focus back to the Titans.

  • TLCP #063 - Roleplaying Your Professions
    Introduction and General Weeks Events

It's been two weeks since the LoreCraft brought you a podcast.  And boy is it good to be back into the swing of things.

Machik did nothing.  Literally, he was stuck at his job doing that thing they call work.  He does need to make a living.

But Yamino and Legren kept busy in the World of Warcraft.  It's nice to know that even with Legion, they still find things to do.

    Fantasy Fables

Two orcs.  That's almost the start of a joke.  But instead, it's the characters in this weeks fable.  Legren discovered a pretty nifty multi part story on the Goramar guild site.  And Machik and Legren only stumble over each other a couple times while reading the story.

They really do need to practice a bit more.

You can read the rest at http://www.thelorecraft.com/bluntblade.

Main Topic - Roleplaying Your Professions

Have you ever wondered about those pesky professions that you level constantly on your toons?  Are you saddened by how they've been devalued in the current xpac?

The LoreCraft hosts talk about using those professions while you roleplay.  Why not be a seller of vanity jewelry?  Or collect ore, and offer simple chain mail and armor to those walking the streets of Stormwind.

The hosts talk about all this and more!

Farmer Gerald has officially become a mainstay on the podcast.  Without him, some weeks would be devoid of reader emails.  So a big thank you to the Farmer!

This week he asks if the Titans are really a part of the shadow.  Now hold on, don't go crazy.  He has a very valid point.  Along with that we discuss artifact weapons and spaceships.

  • TLCP #062 - Void Lords Rule the Old Gods
    Introduction and General Weeks Events

So, World of Warcraft continues to be a thing, and Machik and Legren continue to be horrible at joining in.  Both have been entirely too preoccupied with the Overwatch Beta.

Luckily we still have Yamino to keep us moving in the right direction, as she continues to kick some but in that World of Warcraft.

    Fantasy Fables

Another wonderful week of bring back Hannah!  That's right, Legren reprises his female voice role in what should surely win him an Academy Award.  A story about Blood Elves and Orcs.  What could go wrong?

You can read the rest at http://www.thelorecraft.com/asimplequest.

Main Topic - Void Lords, Old Gods And Sargeras, Oh My

This week, we enter the darkness.  World of Warcraft: Chronicle continues to surprise us as we delve ever deeper into the lore.  And the Void Lords are something that we never fully encountered in game.  What surprised us the most was that the Old Gods were created by the Void Lords, to serve them.

WHAT?  THE OLD GODS ARE NOT THE TOP OF THE PYRAMID??

You read that right.  And this is what is so nice about Chronicle.  The ability to piece together story lines that had missing fragments.

    Questions and Answers

    Reader Emails

Two emails this week.  The first one comes once again from Farmer Gerald, that old rascal is brings us some really intriguing ideas and thoughts each week.  This week he broaches the subject of many of the items we talked about in the podcast.  And then has us revisit a certain death question.

And of course Machik gets skinned.

Then Will writes to us about his thoughts on shamanism.  And I will say, I was duly impressed.
