Dr. Garth Warren, the chief forensic pathologist with the Ada County Coroner's Office, testified that J.J. died from asphyxiation caused by a plastic bag over his head and duct tape over his mouth. He noted bruising on J.J.'s arms and abrasions on his neck, suggesting a struggle. Dr. Warren also discussed Tylee's autopsy, revealing that her remains were severely burned and dismembered, making it challenging to determine an exact cause of death; however, he concluded her manner of death was homicide by unspecified


Additionally, the jury viewed body camera footage from the welfare check conducted at Lori's apartment when J.J. was first reported missing.
