​On the14th day of Lori Vallow Daybell's trial, the prosecution presented forensic evidence linking Vallow and her brother, Alex Cox, to the deaths of her children, J.J. Vallow and Tylee Ryan. Idaho State Police forensic scientist Jacquelyn Detwiler testified that a hair found on adhesive tape used to wrap J.J.'s body matched Lori Vallow's DNA profile. Additionally, latent fingerprint examiner Emily Martinez testified that a fingerprint on a plastic bag used to cover J.J.'s body matched Alex Cox's right palm.


The court also examined digital evidence detailing communications between Lori Vallow, Chad Daybell, and Alex Cox around the time of Charles Vallow's death. Chandler Police Detective Nathan Duncan presented data showing that Lori and Chad exchanged multiple text messages on the day Charles was shot and killed by Alex Cox. This evidence aimed to establish a timeline and suggest coordination among the parties involved
