LUKE - 24:1-53 - The Resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth

Jesus walked out of the tomb 3 days after His crucifixion. He made many appearances after His resurrection. Luke tells us about Jesus’ appearance to 2 men on the road to Emmaus and to His Apostles. The gospel concludes with Jesus’ ascension back to heaven and His final instructions to His closest followers.

LUKE - 23:26-33 - The Crucifixion of Jesus

Jesus was taken out of the city of Jerusalem and crucified at a place known as ”The Skull.” On the way to His death, He spoke to some weeping women about the dark times ahead for the people of Jerusalem.

LUKE - 23:1-25 - Jesus Appears Before Pontius Pilate

Luk 23:3  And Pilate asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” And he answered him, “You have said so.”  Luk 23:4  Then Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds, “I find no guilt in this man.”

LUKE - 22:39-71 - Jesus Arrested and Put on ”Trial”

Jesus and the Apostles left the upper room and headed to the Mount of Olives. Judas led a mob of Jews to help the chief priests and elders arrest Jesus. Jesus was taken to Annas’ house where he was subjected to a fake trial. Sadly, while in the courtyard of the High Priest, Peter denied knowing Jesus three times, just as Jesus predicted he would.

LUKE - 22:1-38 - Jesus Eats the Passover with His Apostles

The day of the Passover arrived and Jesus spent the evening in an upper room with His Apostles. He changed the elements of the memorial to reflex His sacrifice on the cross. He taught the Apostles about greatness in the Kingdom of Heaven and foretold Judas’ betrayal and Peter’s denial.

LUKE - 21:20-38 - The Destruction of Jerusalem 70 A.D.

Jesus discussed the signs leading up to the destruction of the Temple with His Apostles. He told them to stay alert and sober. They were to flee Judea when they saw Jerusalem surrounded by armies.

LUKE - 21:1-19 - Widow with 2 Mites and the Destruction of Jerusalem

Jesus commended a poor widow faith for giving her last 2 mites to the Temple. He then told the disciples about the future destruction of the Temple and began discussing the signs leading up the events of 70 A.D..

LUKE - 20:27-47 - A Woman with 7 Husbands

The Jewish leaders continued their assault of questions against Jesus. The Sadducees asked Him a question about marriage and the resurrection. Jesus answered their question and, in doing so, exposed their ignorance of the scriptures and their incorrect views on the resurrection. Afterwards, Jesus condemned the Pharisees and the scribes for their hypocrisy and devotion to tradition keeping.

LUKE - 20:1-26 - The Jews Challenge Jesus with Questions

After telling the provocative parable of the wicked tenants, the Jewish leaders went after Jesus with a number of questions meant to catch Him in His words.
