October 29th, 1991, shots ring out in broad daylight in quite Bellefontaine, Ohio. As people came running out to see what happened they see a man laying on the ground. As they run to go and tend to the man, they hear another gunshot come from a car down the street.

August 15, 2009, the Buena Park, California police department received a 911 call from a man saying that he had found the body of what appeared to be a child in a suitcase. When the police arrived at 7:30am they discovered it was not the body of a child but that of a woman. That wasn’t the only thing they found when they opened the lid of the suitcase.

As a true crime podcaster, I have heard the saying a hundred times. Why true crime now. To this day it is still the deadliest attack on a school. In the days following the massacre Bath Township was overrun by 100,00 people looking to get a look at the aftermath. So why true crime now?
