The Macabrecast

This week, join us for a two-part episode where we talk about the tragic murder of Sandra Rivett. Holly goes over Sandra's life, the lives of Lord and Lady Lucen, and the strange circumstances around this murder. Get ready for a tale of disappearances, odd letters, and intrigue.

Need a new career path? We might have one for you to consider! Get "bready" for Holly to tell us all about what it meant to be a Sin Eater and all the gruesome details that go with it.

We're back in the Midwest with another cryptid! Meet the Beast of Bray Road, a truly stinky sight to behold. Let's talk mangey bears and burial grounds! Get ready to clutch your pearls and blame it on the devil.

Get ready for a whirlwind history recap with Brooke as she covers the making of the Paris Catacombs! We’ll talk geology, burial methods, goth parades(?), and architecture. Come decay with us!

Holly takes the creepy cake this week with the Nasnas. This disturbing cryptid tale will include slapping feet, high pitched screams, and Brooke’s breaking point!

We're back for week #2 featuring our friends and mentors Yelena and Traynor! It was a joy hosting them, and we hope they'll join the Macabre-gang again in the future.

As a suggestion from Traynor, Brooke covers the Radcliffe Highway Murders. Two families, nearly all decapitated, and no clear motive for the kill. And, as a little side quest, Traynor explains how the writer Thomas De Quincey influenced todays interests in true crime.

We're honored to present our first guest episode! Please enjoy a two week sequence where our friends and mentors Yelena and Traynor join us for some chilling tales.

As a suggestion from Yelena, Holly covers the White Witch of Rose Hall--a haunting plantation in Jamaica. Murder, torture, colonization, this episode is not for the faint of heart.

Hot springs, hot mud, hot mess. The gang is back in Iceland, but this time for a ghostly tale of revenge. The ghost of Gunnuhver will not disappoint you, and she may still be clinging to the edge of the mud pit--ready for revenge!

Welcome back to the land of fearsome creatures! Guided by the illustrious William T Cox, Brooke tells us the tale of the Hugag, another mysterious critter in the Midwest. A harmless creature with a very dysfunctional body.

For our second Pride themed episode, Brooke covers the much anticipated Pirate Queens, Mary Read and Anne Bonny. This episode is about a couple swashbuckling women who fall in love while in secretly in drag!
