Michael Smith gets to spend his days sharing his love of golf, one person at a time. Michael teaches golf to people of all abilities - some who have never even picked up a golf club before. In this episode, we talk about his philosophy of the golf swing, the most common limitations and faults he sees, and how he breaks it down to teach it (and the MOST important part of the swing!)
Michael shares his story of what led him to first pick up a golf club and we talk about the meditative nature of golf - golf is a solo, mental sport and has taught Michael how to focus, be present, and direct his attention.

ACL Rehab and Performance Lab Specialist, Laura Sapper
Laura and I dive into ACL tears: why are there so many ACL injuries these days? Why is re-tear rate so high? How can we better prepare these athletes to return to sport?
As rehab professionals, we need to place the emphasis on the ATHLETE, not just the tear. There are more athletes than ever tearing their ACL, and unfortunately, standard care isn’t cutting it. 20-25% of these athletes are re-tearing and having to start over.
The problems of the ACLer are multifactorial, but there’s a lot of ways the system could be better built to serve this population.
That’s where the ACL Performance Lab comes in -
Laura talks about why she chose to specialize in treating athletes with ACL injuries and how she’s elevating ACL rehab:
