This week Jim pulls the curtain back and welcomes show notes writer Chris Olson. (Breaking the fourth wall here folks, yep. It’s me that you get to hear on this one. You can finally put a voice to an anonymous writing style, or finally, figure out who this random guy that Jim is always interacting with on Twitter.) Taking on the role for the better part of two years, Chris works quietly behind the scenes, digging into the topics that the eclectic and diverse range of guests on the show bring to the table. With a heavy interest on conspiracies, a long time fascination with the paranormal and strange, and a love for Lakers Basketball Chris shares his thoughts on a number of conspiracies, paranormal television shows, what it is like working with Jim, and a past life as a small time musician.

While conspiracy theories are not stranger to The Malliard Report, one that has yet to receive a lot of attention is that of the fate of Adolf Hitler. Like most conspiracies, there is a history that is taught to us, and then there is a reality with many a story falling somewhere in the middle. It is common knowledge that many Nazi leaders and scientist were able to escape the Nuremberg Trials either through outlets like Operation Paperclip or just outright fled to Central and South America where they were able to finish out their last days quietly. However, we are told that during the Soviet raid on Berlin Hitler and his wife Eva committed suicide within the confines of their bunker in fear of receiving the same fate that Italian leader Mussolini met.

This has been the widely accepted story for the better part of sixty years, but over the last decade, more and more evidence has been surfacing that Hitler, in fact, was NOT in the bunker during the raid and actually escaped to Argentina via German U-Boat. While this may seem like any other crazy theory thrown into the mix just because people do not want to believe the narrative handed to them, this one is different because there are actual declassified documents from the FBI citing this information. Additionally, during the Nuremberg Trials, Thomas Dodd, Chief of the US trial counsel was quoted saying that in reference to Hitler “No one can say he is dead” and when questioned by President Truman about whether or not Hitler was dead, Stalin adamantly said “No”. To top off this conspiratorial layer cake, in 2009 forensic tests were done on the skull that was found in the alleged bunker and results showed that the skull belonged to a woman that was less than 40 years old.

Instead of Jim on the helm directing the show with a guest, Jim stands boldly before the duck pond firing squad, ready to take on whatever it is they throw at him. There is no shortage of call ins either.

Over the years, The Malliard Report has become synonymous with being a “go-to” podcast to not just within the paranormal world, but the conspiratorial, and just plain weird genres as well. Being able to boast a litany of guests that include New York Times Bestselling authors, major political figures, other podcasters, and of course the great George Noory, The Malliard Report has a little something for everyone.

05162017 Hooray for Hollywood! No, this is not the Jack Benny Radio Show, but rather the theme for the latest episode of The Malliard Report. This week Jim welcomes back three familiar voices in a sort of radio relay race to discuss their projects and latest updates since their past visit. So sit back and settle in for this star-studded episode.

First up on the tag team trio is the lovely and talented Scream Queen herself, Brooke Lewis. In the midst of an incredibly busy schedule (literally between meetings she stepped out to call Jim) Brooke gives us a rundown of the seemingly endless stream of projects that she is working on. In a balancing act that has even the busiest of multi-taskers envious, Brooke has continued her growing list of feature film roles, maintained her Be You Be Fearless movement, and launched a cosmetic and clothing line. Brooke also shares that from her viewpoint, the trends in the industry are that zombies still seem to have their hold, but the supernatural theme is being pitched more and more. This new, uncharted adventure comes with inherent risks and may have claimed more lives than is publically known.

Located approximately 200 miles southwest of Roswell NM sits the White Sands Missile Range. The original location of the atomic bomb testing, it also was the home of the US rocket propulsion program. Is it possible that in the summer of 1947, in the infancy of the US space program, that an early manned rocket flight went horribly awry? Mangled bodies after a high speed crash may look non-human, and rocketry, unfamiliar to a small town farmer would certainly have an “other worldly” appearance. With stories of crashed aliens and UFOs spreading like wildfire, it provided the perfect smokescreen to hide a top secret program.

Nick discusses this theory along with several other topics with Jim, and it is certainly one worth looking into a little deeper.
