Reflection on episode: This is a MANDATE Core episode, meaning we created this podcast to have vulnerable conversations just like this. Aaron was an absolute delight to interview and, as you can hear, did most of the talking while Ben and Joe sat back and listened. Aaron's raw vulnerability to be transparent with his story impacted so many of our listeners. Reflection on episode: Nate’s episode was really fun for Ben. He got to listen to Nate and Joe reflect on their experience with divorce and you can really hear the synergy between the two of them. We really hope that men out there heard Nate’s heart and passion for the roles we are responsible for playing as husbands. This was also an episode where we received significant feedback; positive and negative.

Not only because Mayor TenHaken and his influence but also Joe and Ben having a clear agenda of where they wanted each episode to go. The moment at the start where Paul is talking about being invited onto Mandate and assuming we were going to talk about a Covid mandate was a real conversation we had with him.

Angela is an American News presenter, investigative journalist, philanthropist and author. She is best known as a co-anchor on KELOLAND News for KELO-TV in Sioux Falls, SD.

On May 16, 2018, Angela’s 21-year-old daughter, Emily, died of fentanyl poisoning. After returning to work after several months leave of absence, Kennecke told her story to KELOLAND viewers. Later that week, she appeared on CBS This Morning and several other national outlets to share her family's story. Angela was working on an investigation into South Dakota’s Good Samaritan Laws and overdose deaths.

In the weeks that followed, Angela and her husband Jeff started a non-profit organization called Emily’s Hope. This non-profit has helped raise thousands for the Avera Health Addiction Care Center in Sioux Falls and Emily’s Hope House, a sober living house.
