It offers dispensaries and brands the opportunity to collaborate on a new and creative marketing solution for the cannabis industry.
Best in Grass is a state-by-state product competition that involves product sampling kits, consumer judging contests, and awards ceremonies.

What if you could R&D a cannabis product or cultivate a strain knowing the precise effects a specific cannabinoid or terpene would provide a person based on scientific evidence? You can.
Our latest guest is Israel Gasperin, the CEO of Zentrela, a scientific research company using EEG and AI technology to measure the brain waves of a cannabis user as a way to understand the impact of cannabis on the brain and how it alters a person's mood.
Brands are using the technology to provide scientifically backed evidence on how specific cannabinoids and terpenes can affect a person by using their products. It will be a game-changer for breeders and product developers looking to provide a particular effect to their consumers.
The technology is groundbreaking for cannabis brands, breeders, and cultivators. Pax used it to prove the efficacy of the entourage effect in their rosin-based products.

Roxanne Jennings is head of production for Envirostar, a Minnesota-based manufacturer that uses spray drying technology to turn food into powder—(think cake mixes). They also have a booming business producing THC drink sticks. We discuss the trend toward this method of consumption and the ease of launching drink sticks to use as a brand-building catalyst for your company. Roxanne predicts cannabis will be a regular food ingredient in the future, and they are ready to provide the tools to make it happen.
Roxanne answers the following questions and more:
1. What is the spray drying method?
2. Companies buy bulk powder vs. distillate to make edibles and drinks in their own facility to save on storage and shipping costs. + Shelf life + R&D.
3. Are cannabinoids preserved in spray drying manufacturing?
4. What other popular ingredients besides THC are people using to enhance stick packs?
5. Are drink sticks preservative-free?
6. What are tips for launching or adding drink sticks to your product line?
7. Most breweries in Minnesota include drink mixes in their product line! It's legal!
Minnesota doesn't need consumption lounges; you can consume anywhere!
8. What is the cost to launch a drink mix line?
9. What R&D initiatives is Envirostar working on?
10. Are functional wellness ingredients trending in beverages?
11. Roxanne predicts cannabis will be a common food ingredient.

Jason Bello is the founder and CEO of a relatively new B2B cannabis trade show called The Flower Expo. He says his show is for "brands to meet buyers," and similar to how food and wine shows operate where there is an emphasis on product sampling. Jason learned the trade show ropes by working at West Coast trade shows like Hall of Flowers and Green Street Festival. Jason launched The Flower Expo last year in Massachusetts and is back again on June 5-6th in rural Greenfield, Mass. The show is set in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains, with food trucks and lots of product sampling. It will then move on to Lansing, Michigan, for an inaugural show in that state.
