I came across Daniel on LinkedIn. He writes some of the best
articles I’ve ever read and has nearly 800,000 followers! I
recently read his New York Times and The Wall Street Journal Best
selling book Flash Foresight and I was blown away. I often talk of
testing assumptions with fake products and ads before jumping in
and investing time and money into a product to assess market
interest but he dials things back ever earlier in the process. He
analyzes trends, categorizes them as hard trends and soft trends
and has developed a scientific systematic approach to problem
solving and building companies.
We had a great chat and at times, it may have sounded like I was
pitching his stuff. To be very clear, I was not paid to do this
podcast or any other podcast - I just think he's come up with an
amazing framework and strategy that is in sharp contrast with the
“throw spaghetti on the wall and see what sticks” guess work. That
