On this week's edition of the Mayor on Air, the GM of the West Coast Council David was in the studio with the latest from the council . Dog registrations are now overdue. Council have recently introduced some new payment options for the dog registration. A reminder to the council have been seeking expressions of interest in relation to the old police station in Strahan. Now the end of the expressions of interest period ends today (Friday 22nd July) so please contact the council today to submit an expression of interest

Today the Mayor Shane Pitt joined us for this week's Mayor on Air. Community members have been wanting to know about the loader which the Galley Museum wants relocated , council received a submission about that so the Mayor provided us with details on that plus an update  on the "Art display" out the front of the entrance of the Lyell Mine .

He talked to us about the development of a fitness centre in strahan and let us know that they are seeking community consultation on the west coast climbing catalyst project. Mayor on air was back today with Mayor Shane Pitt with a reminder that food licences are due, the parking metres are being switched off for a while and the reminder that Cat Management is in place in Queenstown, Zeehan and Gormanston. Dog Registrations are also due. He also let us know what was covered at the recent monthly council meeting
