Surgery to repair conditions like bowed legs isn’t very helpful if patients don’t learn to walk on their newly straightened limbs! That’s where our Mercy Ships Rehab Team steps in.

Charlotte Tidwell is a retired nurse.  But she still helps others.  She founded Antioch for Youth & Family — a food pantry in Fort Smith, Arkansas. 

Dr. Gary Parker has served with Mercy Ships since 1987. He describes the medical need in Africa. 

The patients who come to our hospital ship have nowhere else to turn. Their gratitude is touching and inspiring.
