Jimmy was living in the local marketplace when Mercy Ships crewmembers met him. The 26-year-old had a sweet spirit in spite of terrible pain and the rejection caused by the foul odor of his infected leg.

Mercy Ships volunteers entered an 8-foot square structure, home to a young bedridden woman in a poor African village. She’d had a stroke and lived with her mother, who also faced physical challenges.
