In May 2017, northeast Arkansas was hit by record-breaking floods. The Black River threatened to breach a levee protecting thousands of acres of farmland.

Normally, puddles are no match for the Land Rovers aboard the Africa Mercy.  Except when they disguise a large ditch!

Carl and Pat Whitehead have worked for four decades in Papua New Guinea.  They translated the New Testament into the language of Menya.  And that called for a celebration!

Mercy Ships crew members were invited by a church to show the Jesus film.  One of the volunteers describes what happened.

Lisa Jones grew up in rural Alabama and often helped her parents repair their small house.  But her father was 60 years old when she was born.  And, as he aged, he couldn’t do the repairs.

Captain Jon and Angie Fadely have served with us since 1992.  Jon tells how they first heard about Mercy Ships. 

Rev. Gloria Walton is an associate minister at a church in New Jersey.  But she also founded and runs a nonprofit called Most Excellent Way.  It offers people newly released from jail a warm bed, as well as a job and life skills training.

Salamatou and Mariama are sisters – ages 6 and 8.  They were both suffering from a condition called windswept legs.  And it literally looks like a gust of wind had swept their legs to one side.
