The Micah Hanks Program

In the summer of 1995, following a congressional request, the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) investigated documents related to the alleged crash of a "flying disc" near Roswell Army Air Field (RAAF), New Mexico in 1947. The result, which produced no "smoking gun" evidence of the purported crash, did reveal the mysterious destruction of records from the period, raising questions about who, and under what authority, the records might have been destroyed.

Now, new draft language has revealed a possible effort by present-day U.S. lawmakers to have the GAO conduct a similar audit of the Pentagon's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO). This week on The Micah Hanks Program, we examine the situation, and also look at the history of the GAO's involvement with U.S. government investigations into UAP.

As humanity continues its journey forward into the era of artificial intelligence, many leading futurists are looking ahead to what the following decades may hold for us. Some scientists are also questioning what the implications of the current progress with machine intelligence might be in terms of understanding mysteries like unidentified anomalous phenomena. Could AI help us solve the UAP mystery, or might some part of the phenomenon itself be related to AI, representing a kind of "UAP Singularity" hinted at by our own current technological progression?

This week on The Micah Hanks Program, we explore how recent advancements with AI relate to the UAP question, including ideas such as whether alien life we may encounter would necessarily be biological, and how the concept of technological singularity could potentially give rise to superintelligences, time travel, and other futuristic concepts that could be related to the UAP mystery.

During the Cold War, sightings of strange "mystery submarines" were reported in various parts of the world, from the coastal waters of Scandinavian countries to the ocean surrounding parts of New Zealand, South American countries, and others. Although fears of Soviet espionage ran high, some of the incidents defied simple explanation, seemingly pointing to other alternatives as to what these mystery "USOs" and their origins may have been.

This week on The Micah Hanks Program, we dive into cases involving mystery submarines and odd sightings of unidentified submersible objects (USOs) from throughout the years, as well as some of the prevalent theories about their origins and possible relationship to the UAP phenomenon.

On June 12, 2024, a concerning situation began to unfold as an official NASA live stream featured audio that appeared to reveal a medical emergency unfolding on board the International Space Station. Although the incident turned out to be a false alarm, it served as a reminder of the dangers astronauts face while in orbit.

This week on The Micah Hanks Program, we look at several of the most alarming incidents that have occurred in the history of spaceflight, as well as occasional encounters with unidentified objects reported by astronauts during orbital operations.

In the 1980s, Popular Mechanics featured an intriguing cover story that detailed encounters with a colossal black flying wing in California's desert skies. Throughout the decades, similar reports involving massive Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs) have continued, which include ongoing sightings of enigmatic black triangles reported across the globe.

This week on The Micah Hanks Program, we look at some of history's most famous cases involving encounters with "silent giants" that include massive black triangular UAP, the "mothership" observed by pilot Kenji Terauchi over Alaska in 1986, and an incredible encounter by a military police officer over Johnston Island in the late 1980s. What were these mysterious craft, and could they have any potential links to secretive military technologies that have remained hidden within the world of U.S. black projects?

Despite NASA and the Pentagon intensifying their investigations into UAP, each agency maintains that no evidence of extraterrestrial technology has been found, and has presented only moderate results with their investigations. Meanwhile, civilian scientists are making significant contributions to our understanding of UAPs, with events like the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies and its 2024 AAPC conference bringing together leading researchers and academics to discuss the science behind UAP sightings and their potential implications.

This week on The Micah Hanks Program, we take a look at the SCU's analysis of flight characteristics of these phenomena, revealing extraordinary capabilities that challenge current technological understandings. We also dive into recent discussions with military and intelligence professionals that underscore the seriousness of the UAP issue, highlighting skepticism towards AARO's efforts and the need for a more collaborative approach to uncover the truth behind these mysterious encounters.

In 2017, Luis Elizondo, a former U.S. Army Counterintelligence Special Agent and former employee of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, revealed that he had been involved with the U.S. Department of Defense's investigations into unidentified aerial phenomena. Since coming forward, Elizondo has remained a controversial figure, with some questioning his claims, as well as whether the program he said he ran, the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, or AATIP, even existed.

This week on The Micah Hanks Program, we delve into Elizondo's recent claims that he had been made aware of potential threats targeting him, and what the former special agent characterizes as "perception management" being undertaken by the DoD with its assertions about his relationship to the AATIP program, and claims regarding the destruction of his official correspondences.

Skinwalker Ranch in Utah has long remained a focus of intrigue and controversy in UFO research. The famous alleged paranormal hotspot, marked by its geological history and the foreboding shadows of sandstone mesas, is haunted by legends of the Skinwalker—a malevolent shapeshifter from Native Ute lore. Over time, these myths have been joined by contemporary accounts of unexplained occurrences, from strange lights in the night sky to the mysterious disappearance of cattle, reinforcing the ranch's reputation as a nexus for unexplainable activity.

The ranch's allure has not only captivated the imaginations of those who visit but has also garnered attention from members of the U.S. government. In 2018, a confidential briefing was held on Capitol Hill, attended by notable individuals including the ranch's current owner, Brandon Fugal, and Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick, who would go on to become the director of the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office. This week on The Micah Hanks Program, we discuss these recent revelations, and explore the strange history that showcases the peculiar bridge between governmental curiosity and the enduring legends of Skinwalker Ranch.

Over the decades, many people who claim to possess knowledge of UFOs or have even seen these unusual objects themselves have alleged that threats, intimidation, or other efforts to silence them have been undertaken. But who are these mysterious "UFO silencers," and where does the line between fact and folklore fall on this contentious subject?

This week on The Micah Hanks Program, following an analysis of the latest controversies involving whistleblower David Grusch, we examine his claims of reprisals following his choice to come forward with claims of knowledge about secret UAP-related programs within the U.S. government. We then look at AARO's investigations into potentials means by which those with insider knowledge could be potentially be held accountable, and finally, the UFO folklore involving claims of "UFO silencers" from over the decades.
