Andy, Randy, and Beau chat about a tough week for Washington Huskies fans, the results of a cheerleading competition, and the lack of quality games over Super Wild Card Weekend.
Dawg Nation Daily Host Brandon Adams talks about Alabama hiring Kalen DeBoer to replace Nick Saban, UGA bringing about Travaris Robinson, the reclassification of Julian Lewis, who some of the top coaches are behind Kirby Smart now that Saban and potentially Harbaugh are out, and why he isn't interested in Bill Belichick as the Falcons next head coach.
The Atlanta Falcons are in a unique and difficult situation as an NFL franchise. They have moved on from former Head Coach Arthur Smith, and they have seemingly moved on from both Desmond Ridder AND Taylor Heinicke at the quarterback position. Several coaches, including Bill Belichick, have already interviewed for the Head Coaching Position, but what do they do to fill the role of starting quarterback? Unfortunately for the Falcons, they played well enough in the regular season to land themselves outside of where the top three quarterbacks in the draft are projected to be drafted. That means that they have to put a package together to move up significantly if they want to draft Williams, May, or Daniels, or sign a veteran quarterback. But there may be another option. ESPN's Mel Kuyper Jr threw out a possible trade scenario over the weekend that may not be as far fetched as it sounds: trade the eighth overall pick to the Bears for Atlanta's own Justin Fields. It may sound like a leap of faith, but bringing Justin Fields home may be exactly what he, and the Falcons need. Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael discuss this scenario and exactly how hard nailing this position is.
Hawks and United Broadcaster Mike Conti speaks about the Hawks blowing some big leads in recent games, even if they went on to win, the pieces on the teams not working together, the development and superstar potential of Jalen Johnson, their ability to trade a number of players, and his interest level in Bill Belichick.
In Hour 1, Andy and Randy talk about how things would look different if Bill Belichick did end up as the Falcons next head coach, who Alabama is looking at if Kalen DeBoer also turns them down, and Hawks Guard Patty Mills joins the show.
In Hour 2, Andy and Randy speak about the possibility that a number of coaches who made the playoffs could lose their jobs if they don’t win this weekend, how they expect the games of Wild Card Weekend to go, Picks against the Spread, and Sports Jeopardy.
In Hour 3, Andy and Randy discuss who Falcons fans seem to want since it’s clearly not Belichick, Alabama having issues finding a head coach, Bill Bender joins to further the College Football discussion, and the AMA.
Andy, Randy, and Abe chat about the cleanliness of not using a straw and the impact of weather on this weekend's NFL playoff games.
